Casting new visions

Mixed media assemblage on wood panel, 2025

48 x 36 x 5 inches

Casting New Visions reflects on memory, paradox, and the search for meaning amidst uncertainty. Gray Brosious uses found materials, layered imagery, and original poetry to explore the tension between clarity and complexity, permanence and change. Reimagining what’s been broken or discarded, the work creates a visual language of resilience, transformation, and the quiet ways we piece ourselves together over time.

-Poem 1-

Echoes in the Margins

We are contradiction, harmony, dissonance—
blueprint, echo, and erasure.

Cartographers of the unknown
sketching constellations in spilled coffee,
mistaking dust for permanence.

What is unfinished hums with quiet intention.
What is fractured still shines,
scattering light like a prism,
forgotten until the drawer yawns open.

The beauty was never in the symmetry,
but in the way light misbehaves—
sneaking through the cracks, rewriting the edges,
casting new visions on horizons we’ve yet to reach.

-Poem 2-

Quiet Places

The gaps remember what we forget.
Light bending, shadows shifting.
The quiet work of time still unfolding.
